Firewall Problem

I recently got a new Samsung Start TV and connected it to my wi-fi network, the problem is, when I try to view a movie from TV it will not connect to PC because the firewall blocks it as a port scan, if I disable the port scan blocking feature everything works, but I do not want to disable it, is there any way to add the TV's IP or something to the firewall's safelist so it does not block it?

Thank you in advance!

P.S. I have Bitdefender Total Security 2013

  • Hello,

You can go to "Settings/Firewall/Adapter Rules/Add Zone" allowing the specific IP.

I don't know if this works for you but you can try.

I have already tried that, and also added the program (samsung allshare) to safelist, but the firewall still blocks that port scan <img class=" />

  • Hello :)

A product update was released. Your build should be 16.24.0.1682(please right click on Bitdefender icon from system tray-near the clock-and choose "About". You should see in the left side the build number).

In order for the product update to be installed, you need to reboot your machine(you should see in the Events -> "Reboot required" under the Update module).

Let me know if the situation is solved.
