Not Off To A Good Start
Based on a recent article, I thought I'd give Bitdefender a go. Unfortunately, this software and I aren't getting along very well. First, as my computer stays on 24/7 I want to schedule scans and updates so I won't be bothered with them when I am using the computer. I've looked in several different places but have yet to figure out how to do it. Secondly, I thought I'd come here and try to find an answer which lead me to another problem. After signing up I opened...well, tried to open...Windows Live Mail to receive the validation link. NINE times Bitdefender shut down Windows Live Mail even though I kept clicking allow. I finally had to turn Bitdefender off to be able to open the email program. I don't know about you, but that's a bit much for me. So, what's going on? Is there a way to manually configure scans during the times I wish and why won't the app allow me to open my email?
Now another problem.... I use HotSpot Shield Elite on my notebook. This allows me to use a VPN tunnel while on a public WiFi network. It also allows connect to their anonymous proxy servers. Bitdefender would not install until I uninstalled HotSpot. That's not going to work. Is there a way to get both on the computer...if not, Bitdefender is history.

Hello,
Could you please tell me if this issues persist with the new build version 16.28.0.1763?
(right click on Bitdefender icon from system tray-near the clock-and choose "About". You should see in the left side the build number).
In order for the product update to be installed, you need to reboot your machine(you should see in the Events -> "Reboot required" under the Update module).
