The Start Menu Icons Are White.

Today, to start the update of bitdefender, the program asked to restart the windows. After this update, all programs from start menu, were white with images. The programs start menu, take some time to load the icons of the programs. Previously, the icons of the programs of the start menu, quickly appeared.


Any member of the support I can explain this situation?

    Yes i have same issue but not only start menu i have taskbar icon images disappeared, administrative tool icons, pictures open after 30 sec!!,IE not working and windows explorer crashing randomly coz not responding windows.


    I think it is DEP (Data Execution Prevention) for all programs is blocking some parts of Bitdefender when On Access Scening is set to aggressive. I have had Bit for years always on highest setting never have performance issues untill now.


    Set your On Access Scanning on normal until they fix this new bug.

    Actually, I have bitdefender in maximum protection. I'll make those changes and see the result. However, I think the team bitdefender should solve this problem.

    Please set the protection to Normal for On Access Scanner & Active Virus Control and reboot.


    Let me know if everything is OK after.


    Note: Aggressive level is only for heavily infected environments.
