"mybitdefender" Site
What's with the My Bitdefender site? It's been "unavailable" due to "maintenance" for more than 24 hours.
Sounds more like someone screwed up or they got hacked????
I was trying to talk a SMB into changing over to Bitdefender, but of course couldn't demo what you could do... especially the ability to see where a device was and the ability to force a scan or wipe a device.

Hi visiter555
I had read a post about the site being down for maintenance a couple of days ago, so yes, it is taking longer than maybe even they had expected. They may not be the fastest with their maintenance/response times, but they make a excellent security solution0 -

Yea, and it's still down...0 -
Day four (or more?) of "my bitdefender" being down for maintenance. Seems like is also having an impact in their online store as well.
Typical bush league business for such a good product.0 -
In excess of a week and still down.
I am unable to force a scan on the kids systems because of this little "maintenance" item lasting a ludicrous amount of time. That is if it really is maintenance.0 -

Hi,
After logging, go to "Profile" or "Products" (under your e-mail menu) and see what happens.
The explanation is simple. They have been hacked.
Some users have reported that they have seen other than their devices (PCs) into their accounts.
After that they closed this section of site trying to repair it.
Because we are talking about the best and fastest support we should wait for a little - 1, 2, 3 months and we'll see...

Yes on both fronts. I didn't even click or link (in my mind), to the "other devices seen" posts. Interesting and valid? observation werby30 -
Does the features Anti-Theft and Parental Control are working? I didn't try that.

Thanks for that link, werby3. I had not seen that one, yikes As even the OP mentioned, hacked or sombody really screwd up. Not sure we'll ever know the full story on this one?Does the features Anti-Theft and Parental Control are working? I didn't try that.
Yes, the Parental Controls work, haven't checked out Anti-Theft though.0 -
But its still risky and illogical to have such an important feature "Parental Control" on Web base rather than to integrate in the main product.

I really liked how it was implemented and so easy to use in the console of the 2012 version.0 -
There are comments regarding this on the facebook page, too. Look around Dec. 24th and 25th. MyBitdefender has been a thorn in my side since day 1. I hope that they start from scratch on this.
