Bdf Total Securty 2013, Not Installed Correctly.
I downloaded and installed it 5 days ago. It did not install correctly, there were parts of it missing, no safesearch/ safesearch toolbars in webbrowsers, small B icon in system tray at bottom of screen showing "service loading" and not working, no antispam box/antispam toolbar in windows mail, no security widget, no safe pay icon.
The support seems to not care about customers,the first time i contacted and sent a log file ,i was given a ticket number and waited, no reply then i contacted by live chat, they just told me it would be logged. After trying uninstalling/reinstalling about 4 times myself i got an e mail after 2 days. All it said was to try and repair and the instructions and text line was just copied from the support page. I could have tried that myself if they told me straight away when i contacted them. I tried repair, it stuck and had to contact them again as i had no security and my pc would not do anything.They told me to just try a reboot or turn off. I shut it down and tried to continue the repair i did not work. I contacted again thru live chat, i had to explain it all again, then was asked for my phone number and available times. I was told it would be escalated to level 2. I expected a call . Nothing, after a day and a half i contacted them again, was told they do not call, that it would be escalated. i persisted to ask for removal tool and download link to try while waiting for their e mail response. because i had downloaded from a link and tried it 4/5 times it would not let me do anymore. (this download limit was never mentioned.) I used them and fully uninstalled and reinstalled it. I managed to get the Safepay working, but none of the other things mentioned earlier.I am still waiting for a reply, i have done more work fixing it on my own than the help they gave me and after 6 days it is still not fully working as it should and i am waiting for another e mail.I have tried everything, all uninstall tools for previous security, and they just leave you waiting, will not call or resolve it while you chat or try and do it for you. If it is not fixed soon i will have to ask for refund and get another security. " /> which is a shame as bought this for the reviews and extra features it has.

How can i disconnect from the internet yet still use the download links to reinstall Bitdefender?0 -

I don't mean to interject with what you and ONT have started, but just to maybe progress things along
I think it is just a rephrasing that needs clarification. Please download your version of BD from this link or ONTs, after it has finished downloading, then you can disconnect from the internet, or not. The idea being to just install without allowing BD to "look for and install" updates until after it completely installs. Be sure first to use the removal tools ONT provided, as needed, then the CCleaner clean up, then restarting your PC, and running the BD file as admin.

I tried all the removal tools, c cleaner, i downloaded but not used Argente as i am not experienced and did not want to delete all the items as tehre were a lot and not sure which to select.
I downloaded and installed BDFR Total Security 2013 offline, it udpdated but not all updates successful i now have 25 updates that failed and still same issue as before, no safesearch/safesearch toolbars, spam folder/toolbar, B incon in system tray says service loading again and can't use it, so no security widget or other things that you can get from the icon.
Still no reply from support team, what a waste of time they are.0 -

My system is Intel®Core Quad CPU, RAM 2.00GB, 32bit, with Windows Vista.(RAM shows at 43% now in BDFR tune up screen)
I have no other problems with security before and have had Kaspersky,McAfee, Norton.
The browsers i use are Firefox, Google Chrome, i also have internet explorer and Opera which i don;t really use.
I followed the guidance for complete uninstall/reinstall, i did download but not use Argent as i was nervous as not sure what i was deleting, i did the BDFR download offline. When i went online i initially had lots of messages about newer versions and updates failing, of which there were 25 in the failed tasks. After a while when it updated and i did a repair when it prompted me to update/repair, they finally cleared ok.
I am now back to what i had a day ago, it is installed and seems working, also with the Safepay icon on my desktop.
But i can't seem to get the other parts of the security working ie.
Safesearch on any webbrowser, or Safesearch Toolbars
The spamfolder or Spam Toolbar it mentions, in Windows Mail.
The B icon at the bottom right of the screen, always shows "BDFR services loading please wait", when i put the cursor over it. Also when i use right click on it, it does not work,no options come up, i.e.security widget, which i think is supposed to be able to be shown from the icon and any other right click options it should have.
I have checked the options for BDFR toolbar and searchadvisor in Privacy option and they are switched on, as is the antispam option.
I found some guidance on the support pages for getting the spamfolder/toolbar to show in windows mail, i typed in something in command prompt i think, but it had no effect.
I am not sure how to get a snapshot, or whether it would add anything to what i have described.
Still no reply from BDFR support. Only waiting 1 week now " />0 -

Are you French? Why are you using French installer? you have to visit the French Sub-Forum and read some posts there.
Also post here all the Antivirus and Anti-Spam Modules Settings you did. And be informed that the Bitdefender toolbar does not appear on Opera browser.
Regarding the issue try below
1) Re-install your Windows
2) or Update your Windows
3) Re-start the Bitdefender Services from Safe Mode.
4) Change Processor Settings from BIOS e.g Hyper Threading, Core Multiplexing etc
5) Disable Windows Firewall, if enable.0 -

My problem is with installing the bitdefender total security which is part of the Bitdefender Sphere. Each time I try to install it fails and a message that says that internet connection is required to install the product. I am really surprised at this development. I am forced to go on the internet without an antivirus as I was force to uninstall the older version. Anybody with a solution for this problem?

use offline installer from here

Use offline installer as said in here ,always uninstall with uninstaller in safe mode first then normal mode and use regedit to check for bitdefender entry.Don't for get ccleaner ans try wise disk cleaner also.
