Auto-renewal Not Showing In Client
I have the e-mails advising the auto-renewal process has charged my credit card and my license has been extended. The license key in the e-mail advice is the same as configured in my client.
However, my client software has not recognised the extension and says I have 1 day left.

I have delt with Avangate before with another software app. If your account with Avangate has auto-renewal turned on they will bill you a week or more before your current license expires. That is how it is like it or not. Now whenever I purchase a product through Avangate I turn off the auto-renewal with that product in my account on their website. I just renew when manually. Others of course will prefer to have the auto-renewal turned on. I try to never to use it with anything since I have less control over renewals with auto-renewal than using a manual renewal. I prefer the additional control even if it can be a little more time consuming.0 -

I have had a bunch of problems with Avangate license information not agreeing with various applications license informaton. To get it straightened out I had to contact the software vendor and have them contact Avangate to get Avangate to properly reflect my license information. Not saying this is the case with Bitdefender and Avangate but because of the problems I have had with them in the past I almost did not buy a BD W8 Security license. I have never liked third party billing situations. I have found it much better to get billed from the software company than a billing company though I understand why some companies use third party billers. No middle person and therefore usually fewer license problems and less of a hassle cleaning them up when they occur. Just my exprience. Others may have had different experiences when they buy a license for an app that is billed by a third party.0 -
Turns out patience was the key.
The Days remaining count in the client went down to 1 and the next day it went up to 3650 -
You may want to reconsider being on Auto-Renew. They double-charged me for renewing. When I spoke to a person on a long very disoriented outsourced/overseas call, they said it was because I was on auto-renewal when I accepted their offer to renew with bonus months. I never wanted auto-pay, and if they thought I was on auto-pay they should not have made the offer or double-charged. They will Not reply to my emailed questions and requests to resolve the issue. Jerks!

Hello,
@ KiwiMike: Thank you for posting back, I'm glad that everything is working fine. With auto-renewal feature enabled, your Bitdefender license key is extended right before the expiry date. This is done through automatic update of the product.
@ Nesivos: Thank you for your valuable feedback! You might also want to see this post on the auto-renewal process:
