Can't Uninstall Bitdefender Antivirus For Mac

Options

I've found instructions on this forum saying the fix to this issue is to run the uninstaller ****** and reboot twice. I've done it three times in a row and no uninstall is occurring.

Can anyone let me know how I can uninstall BitDefender from my Mac? I would be very grateful.

Here is my info:

OS X 10.8.2 Mountain Lion

BitDefender Version 2.0.1.3591

  • Also, am I missing something on downloading the dmg file to run the uninstall ******? When I go to the list of my Bitdefender products in my online control panel and click download package I get directed to the consumer public website and I have to register for a bit defender trial to get to the "trail" BitDefender for Mac download dmg.

Is this the same full version dmg with the uninstall ****** that will work on mine?

Shouldn't a registered user have a direct link to an install packages where I don't have to sign up for a trial package each time I want to download the software? This is inconvenient not to mention it makes we wonder each time if what I'm downloading is the full version I have paid for. Also, this is just creating junk records in BitDefenders trial database. Now I'm getting emails from BD about my "trial software" when I'm already a registered customer.

  • I can't believe this . . . I'm getting NO help or response from BitDefender on this issue. No replies to this post and I've called twice! It's been four days since my first call to support and I'm still waiting for someone to call me back to resolve this issue.

My Mac is crashing repeatedly, I make my living on it . . . this is an urgent matter for me. Help!!!!

Why send a personal message with the solution. Put it on the site so everyone can see.

I have run the unistaller four times, doing a restart between the first two and a complete turn off between the second two. I can't get rid of the bloody thing. It is like a virus itself!. I recently upgraded to the new version and have had nothing but trouble. It freezes part way through a scan, it says I have a suspect file, then says it is cleaned then tells me it is still there. It was giving me authorisation errors whenever I tried to turn of realtime scanning or alter any parameters. It is crap and I want my money back, but at the moment I can't even install the bloody thing.

I was chatting to support two weeks ago who didn't have a clue, but told me they would send me a solution in 24-48 hours. Nothing. I tried to chat to support last night and they (Mitch) told me to wait a minute while they checked something, after no reply for 15 minutes I gave up.

What sought of a cowboy operation are you running there? Crap products and crap support. Grrrrrr. <img class=" /><img class=" />
