Avc Hv Problem (windows 7 - 64-bit)

Options

Dear forum,

I was going through my devices and saw a warning for my PC.

When I clicked on the Icon, I saw a message to trouble shoot a problem with Bitdefender AVC HV driver.

I tried to apply the fix, which did nothing, and even ran a repair of Bitdefender. The problem persists.

Any idea what AVC HV is and what it's supposed to do?

    Thanks all,

    Lee.

I've seen this whenever there is a product upgrade of some sort- Usually it will show BD more than once in the device manager window with one of the entries showing the yellow flag (exlamation point etc)... I usually tell it to uninstall the one with the yellow flag- and I have no further problems..

It's an odd one. Thanks anyway.

  • I was having the same problem on multiple machines (both 64 bit and 32 bit). I also did an uninstall (on the one with the yellow triangle within the device manager) and they have not come back! This was an upgrade installation from IS2012 to TS2013. See attached image.

    Hello :)

A product update was released. Your build should be 16.23.0.1637(please right click on Bitdefender icon from system tray-near the clock-and choose "About". You should see in the left side the build number).

In order for the product update to be installed, you need to reboot your machine(you should see in the Events -> "Reboot required" under the Update module).

    Changelog:

Let me know if the situation is solved.

    Have a nice day.

    Hi,

    @ LeeS :

    Does the issue persist?

    @ FTutone :

The issue was caused by the Active Virus Control driver left there by your previous Bitdefender version, which was not correctly removed. This is the reason why you could see there 2 entries - Bitdefender AVC HV. Running the Bitdefender uninstall tool and reinstalling the product usually solves this issue. A quicker solution is to simply right click on each exclamation mark entry and select "Uninstall".

    @ wazzup :

Click the link provided by Christian for details about the 16.23.0.1637 product update. We are now running 16.26.0.1739. For more details please read:
