Email Not Working
Installed Bitdefender Total Security 2013, now Windows Live Mail will not work unless I turn the firewall off. How do I allow Windows Live Mail?

Try this first, go into Firewall Settings and turn on Paranoid Mode. Restart your PC, open Live Mail and see if you get a pop up to allow Live Mail.

You can also check the logs and see the specfic reason why BD is blocking access to Windows live mail. It could be anything like the plugin that is using. It would show you the best way onhow to bypass it.

Could you please tell me if the issue persists with the new build version 16.28.0.1763?
(please right click on Bitdefender icon from system tray-near the clock-and choose "About". You should see in the left side the build number).
In order for the product update to be installed, you need to reboot your machine(you should see in the Events -> "Reboot required" under the Update module).
