Few Problems With Autopilot And Events
Hi guys,
Since I`m new kid on the block apologize if someone already had similar problems,I was searching the forum but
could not find solution.
Anyway I have full license of BIS 2013 build 16.28.0.1789.
so far not much of a hassle except few issues that keep persisting and annoying me.
1.When in Autopilot mode sometimes I need to click more than several times for update to begin,its simply not responding.
after clicking and clicking without any response it switches suddenly to User mode and update begins sometimes it needs 2-3 clicks and
sometimes 10 times to get it going from idle position.
This also happens if I want to go to settings of Antivirus or Firewall or Privacy module,
sometimes I need to click more than several times to get any response and switch to preferred mode from Autopilot.
2.Events button not working properly,usually if I click Events I get nothing except little icon that brings me back to main screen
it shows no module and no events or anything. Than after more than few attempts it displays all the modules correctly and list of events
for each module so I can see all the updates and scans I performed. Its annoying and I dont know how to fix this? Is it a bug?

Thank you for considering a search before posting
As for theses issues, let's try the quickest and easiest fix first, and that is to run a repair, which can be found here (restart your PC when prompted): http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=35489
If this doesn't resolve the issues, we would need to consider if there was a previous AV solution, that may have some leftovers that need to be found and removed. Also, of which version of Windows you are running.

Will try the repair first and see how it goes from there.
OS Win 7 Home Premium x64 sorry I forgot to put that in first place.
Btw I was thinking of putting another AV scanner as passive addition.
is there compatibility issue with all other AV software or there`s something
than can actually work along side and fine with BIS?0 -

I would pass on 2 real time scanners, as that would pretty much cause issues with Bitdefender, even if the real time shields are turned off, there are still running background processes that can cause conflicts/issues with BD. So far, the only install and run "sanctioned" 2nd opinion scanner is the free version of Malwarebytes, running a scan on demand (turning off BD On Access scanner during that time) or using a online scanner once in awhile.

OK from minor issue it turned into serious problem.
I tried lunching repair but instead of repair program freeze completely went into loop,vsserv stopped working, antivirus shield service was disabled.
then it got back after some time after restart,but on-access scanning is now disabled and any attempt to restart result in failure.
I tried to restore to point before this but system replied that it cannot restore because AV service is blocking restore settings. And it gives me some unspecified error 0x0000 something
How to fix from here...since its now becoming real trouble and its even more unresponsive than before
Why is BIS blocking my restore? And how to fix all of this now?

I'm no expert, but my suggestion would be to go into Safe Mode, if you can, and fully uninstall BD, then start again. If you had another AV product previously installed, there's a useful list of removal tools here:

Ok...
I have solved most of my problems with total uninstall and clean install(repair was not working),
but had to use BIS special uninstall program,otherwise I was stuck totally.
Anyway now it seems that events become more stable and more responsive.
Only thing that continue to happen(and it happened before as well) that without apparent reason
I got msg that Auto-scan feature is disabled than I re-enable it again and so on...
anyone had this issue? Just please don`t say reinstall or repair again,its clean new install fully updated.
