Deep Scanning

Hi,


I just started a deep scanning with BitDefender AntiVirus 2008, and it seems to be taking quite a long time. It has been scanning for more than an hour now. At one point, the scanner was scanning 3 files per second. The FULL system scan I did earlier scanner at a rate of 50-60 files per second.


My system is fairly recent (dual core processor), and I am just wondering if this is normal.

    Same experience here. It is the deepest scan around. i think there is no need to worry

    The reason why this happens is that Deep Scan unpacks all archives it finds, and scans the files from those archives. Full Scan doesn't do that, and that's why it is faster.
