How Do I Know Safepay Is Safe?
I've just upgraded to the 'New' Bitdefender (although, I've yet to find anything 'new'), and am curious about Safepay. I have never used it before, in neither the 2012 or 2013 versions of BD, so I am wondering what it actually does?
On the face of it, it seems to open a browser type window, in which your banking website appears. You can then log into your bank in the usual manner. My questions are:
1. How is this any more secure than using a normal browser?
2. Is any data stored by Bitdefender when using Safepay?
3. If 'yes' to above, how secure is this data, and how do we know that it cannot be accessed by hackers, etc?
Forgive the paranoia. This isn't a criticism of BD. I would just like to know a bit more about how the system works, before entrusting my bank details with it.
Cheers,
Simon.

Hi Simon
See if these 2 threads help. The first one had some really nice back and forth dialogue with Cristian Amarie, as well as the second thread.

Hi Scott,
Thanks for the links. There's quite a lot to read there, so I'll go through it when I have more time.
Cheers,

You're welcome The first thread I thought should be a Pinned Topic for some of the excellent information. Again, Cristian Amarie did (does) a really good job with those sub forum threads.
Happy reading
