Hi,
I do not try to convince you to keep BD.
BUT, personally, I prefer an AV product that gives me a high level of security, even if it has a few minor issues I can handle, than a perfect AV product with no issues at all and then, one beautiful morning, I will see my PC destroyed by a virus which this perfect AV didn't manage to find and stop. That's all.
Also, keep in mind that nothing is perfect in real world especially that kind of apps which are very complicated and run very deep into systems.
...And once again (284th time). It's the lack of support that makes all this mess and not the product itself.
I know, I have to visit again my psychotherapist for this insistence but it's absolutely true and real.

This issue is not related to any hidden process undetected by Bitdefender but I think it is the mishandling of the http driver by Bitdefender.

Hello, I have a computer running a hidden process, that is constantly engaged in network activity, Bitdefender does not show this process, I define this process is just a widget Bitdefender which indicates that the firewall is active filter network traffic and gadget shows the speed of traffic, do not know how to stop this process(BIS 2013,BIS2014. Windows 8-64).
Helps only so here it is:
- First of all restart the computer in Safe Mode.;
- Browse to: C:\Program Files\Bitdefender\Bitdefender 2013;
- Locate the file: 'update_components.xml';
- Right click on it and select 'Edit' or select 'Open with' and then 'Wordpad' from the list;
- Once the file is opened, look for the '<Product enabled="1"' string;
- Replace the '1' number with '0';
- Locate file 'bdtl.dll' and rename it into 'bdt.dl_';
- Restart the computer in Normal mode;
- After restart check to see if the file 'bdtl.dll' has been replaced or still exist as renamed ('bdt.dl_');
- If the file is still renamed test to see if the issue is resolved.
This is not the way out.I am waiting for your answer with the results of the above steps. Sorry for machine translation.0 -
