Wallet Run Entries

I have disabled Wallet in Google Chrome and have turned it off at the GUI.

Is it necessary for two run entries to remain in the registry? If I delete the registry entries will they reappear when I turn Wallet back on?

Why do these run at start even though Wallet has been turned off?

pmbxag.exe and bdapppassmgr.exe

Please see attached.

Thanks

  • Hello,

The entries are part of the Bitdefender Wallet, so even if you delete them they will recreate at the next product update.

But why are this entries executed if wallet is switched off/ not used?

There should be an update within BD v17.17.x which prevents this programs from running, but pls look at attached screenshot:

I completely agree. The two wallet startup programs (bdapppassmgr.exe and pmbxag.exe)

should NOT be running if the wallet feature is disabled.

This should be easy to fix, come on guys ^_^
