Hi - I've got exactly the same problem. I was wondering if you had found a solution?

Yes, I am installing as an administrator. I first tried installing it from a CD I bought and I've subsequently tried to download it from this link:

Remove all traces of your previous install using this tool
http://www.bitdefender.com/uninstall/
Reboot and try again.0 -
Thanks. I just tried that but still get the same error message.
I'm using Windows 7 (SP1) with a 64 bit operating system. Any ideas of what else I can do? I have another computer that runs on Windows 8 and I installed Bitdefender on that last night with the same CD and had no problems there.0 -
I am on Win7 HP SP1 X64 and over the last few weeks have been undecided about which AV to go with so have installed/removed/reinstalled BD TS several times and have not had any problems (online download). I suggest you wait for a tech to see this and hopefully help.

Bought this software to replace Kaspersky as it seemed to come out with higher scores.
Download said I was not connected to internet. Was then given uninstall instructions and links to re-install. Re-install links did not work - error in files.
Despite several urgent messages to their support I have not had any solution and I have been without Internet protection.
I have no option but to go back to Kaspersky, which I have had for several years and never had any problems - my decision to switch was also based on price - but Kaspersky lowered their price for previous customers.
WOULD NOT RECOMMEND BIT DEFENDER IN A MILLION YEARS.0 -

Please help.
I have a 3 licence Internet Security CD.
I have also tried reinstalling from bitdefender.com.
I have uninstalled fully between installs.
I am trying to install on vista 64bit on a notebook.
I have installed it successfully on my windows 7 64bit desktop computer.
