Having Trouble Running A System Scan

I recently just downloaded bitdefender free and am having trouble figuring out how to run a full system scan. I went to this webpage for instructions and it says, as the first step "Open the Bitdefender window." But how do I do that? I tried double-clicking the bitdefender icon, but i don't really get a window, just a little pop-up in the lower-right hand corner of the screen that says "Bitdefender free antivirus edition. System is protected. Virus shield on, Auto scan on" etc. There doesn't seem to be "antivirus panel" there to click on per the instructions at the link I posted.


Can anyone explain what's going on here and how to open the bitdefender window? TIA for an help anyone can give.

    Right click the Bitdefender icon and choose Full system scan. ^_^
