Updating And Scanning Options
How often does Internet Security 2014 update itself and how often does it scan? I have looked at every option in it and cannot find where it has the option to change either one. I do not need it updating or scanning more than once a day but I want to have control over how often and when these are done.

Firstly regarding the update frequency, there is a topic here where it is discussed along with the instructions on how to change the frequency.

Secondly, scan frequencies are set from the GUI>Antivirus>Scan now> highlight the scan and select "schedule" at the bottom.

I do not think the Bitdefender people are updating it often enough that it would require updating more than once a day.0 -

I do not think the Bitdefender people are updating it often enough that it would require updating more than once a day.
If you are talking about definition updates then there are a lot of updates, sometimes every hour or so and it is obviously an advantage to keep up to date with them. If you mean engine updates then I do agree that there are not that many and one check a day is probably sufficient.
