Bsod Woes

I have two Windows 7 64-bit laptops, one a Dell XPS and the other an HP DV7-6B55DX. Both have 8 GB Ram. Several weeks ago, the HP started getting BSODs for no apparent reason. Lately the Dell is getting BSODs, too. The most obvious similarity is that both are running Bitdefender Total Security 2013 (program and virus updates are current). The message for these BSODs consistently say

IRQL_GT_ZERO_AT_SYSTEM_SERVICE

*** STOP: 0x0000004A(0x00000000772D132A,0x0000000000000002,0x000000000000000xFFFFF88003D12

A Google search said this code (>>>0004A, in particular) might be related to Bitdefender. I have had an open service ticket with Bitdefender for almost a month now. They asked for AutoRuns log, minidump files, and a Support Tool log. I was unable to generate the Support Tool log but I sent them the other files - so far, I have not heard back from them. I realize BSODs can happen for a lot of reasons but I am trying to eliminate Bitdefender. Has anyone else run across this? I get at least one BSOD per day with both machines. I would appreciate any help.

Am I posting in the wrong forum? It has been several days and no response yet.

Also, the problem I am having with the Support Tool is that it starts executing and just seems to hang. I waited 30-40 minutes and finally gave up. Is that normal behavior.
