Av-scan Have Written 2,5tb On My C: Ssd-drive

Why do Bitdefender write temp.****** folders several gb's each to the C: drive when the AV-scan is scanning on my other two secondary drives both 3TB and 4TB? My scan had taken about 7 hours and the scan had written chunks of data to my c: drive to the TEMP folder in the Windows directory during that time. This can't be normal?

Are there any particular reason for it to do so? Scanning using Bitdefender will wear your ssd-drive in no time it it continues to do so.

  • This has been an issue in the past. Just download and install Ccleaner and let it clean the temp folder.

Also make sure that your version is updated. 1.gif

They haven't been able to fixed this in several years time. I've changing AV instead to Kaspersky.
