when I run ccleaner it comes up with a bunch of missing shared dll in the registry is it safe to delete these or will it cause a problem?

I normally delete these with no problems but I have never had 50 or more from one program so I hesitate to delete them.

  • Normally, it shouldn`t cause any trouble. However, you may create a restore point, delete the missing shared dll`s, and if the computer doesn`t behave as usually, you may restore it to a previous state.

    Cheers!

I use CCleaner religiously and have never had a problem allowing CCleaner to "fix" the issues it finds. As I understand it, CCleaner found registry entries pointing to dll files that do not exist. Deleting these registry entries should not cause a problem. I always let CCleaner backup the entries before deleting them. That way, if a problem is encountered, you can use CCleaner to restore the deleted registry entries.
