    Update:

    Shortened explanation from Bitdefender Support:

The Ransomware Protection in Bitdefender is off by default. The flaw is in the User Guide.

We have directed your report to the appropriate team and it will be fixed as soon as possible.

Regardless, Ransomware Protection should be enabled by default.

TeslaCrypt & Alpha Crypt file-encrypting ransomware programs which targets all the windows based versions like Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8, when the computer is infected with TeslaCrypt or Alpha Crypt virus it will scan computer data files and encrypt them by using AES encryption so they wont be opened. Once the infection has encrypted the data files on computer drive letters it will display an application that contains instructions on how to get your files back.

View this site which talks about Decrypt and remove Teslacrypt 3.0 .mp3 files
