Antivirus Turns Off
Can someone explain why the Antivirus in BD Internet Security 2008 keeps turning itself off? I have the suite installed in one desktop and two laptops -- it keeps shutting down on my laptop, but not the other two.

You might want to take a look at the Event Viewer. Right-click on My Computer and select Manage. Look at the Application and System event logs (see attached screen shot). If you find an error (or warning), double-click on the entry to get a description of the event. This may or may not provide enough information to solve your problem, but it could get you started in the right direction.

Took a look, but couldn't find anything to indicate a problem.0 -
I have a similar issue where BD turns off in the tray and seconds later starts up again - bizarre. Is this an update feature, or should I be concerned that another process is switching it off?
Cheers,

This is usually an update related feature, not issue/bug, but only if this happens when you're updating. If the shield turns off for no reason then you may have a problem.
The processes and server are restarting to let the new versions work, it's a normal thing. It's pretty much like restarting your computer in order to apply the new changes.0 -
Excellent, thanks for the reply. It seemed like little strange behaviour but makes sense and I assumed as much. Thanks for the clarification.
