Hey guys,

I'm new to to Bitdefender antivirus, which i recently am trying out. When i installed it, it told me to do a quick scan and I did it and it picked up one virus called .....CFD.exe, which i know for a long time that, that program comes with my internet services provider cd when installed. It didn't even let me say delete it or anything it just say ok and then Bitdefender automatically delete the program. From my experience bit defender is on top, but i don't see any option that i could manually say delete it or ignored since it is a safe program....Unless you guys can verify to me that CFD.exe is a virus/trojan then i might consider buying it.

Thanks,

Dexter

Yeah i had something like that happen on my end too <img class=" />

    Try this...

Right click the tray icon, choose Open advanced settings, on the Antivirus screen, click the shield tab, click custom level, adjust the action to take setting by changing first action to move to quarantine and second action to deny access.

You may want to switch the default settings on the other scan types also, click the scan tab then click the funky lookin' icon to the left of each scan, set them to the same as above.

Hope it helps for future false positives!

Whoops, almost forgot, you can use the exceptions option to "white list" a file or files from future scanning. Make sure scan exceptions is enabled, click the + icon then follow the prompts.
