Uninstall Question Etc

Hi, I just purchased the BD IS2008 for 3 PC's deal, I haven't installed it as yet. After reading some of the stuff on the forum, I am hesitant to install it to say the least. I really can't afford, and don't want to deal with any problems like I read here, but my question is, does BD IS2008 uninstall cleanly, and is there any special procedure to have it uninstall cleanly ?.

Also, when I followed the link after purchase, the file that was downloaded was called bitdefender_isecurity.exe, and was only 139.4KB, I downloaded it several times. but it was the same. I also downloaded a file from another link on the BD web site, it was called bitdefender_internetsecurity_2008_32b.exe, and is 37.2MB. What is the small file for? and should I just use the larger file if I do decide to install BD?

I must admit, if I had came here and read these forums before purchasing BD, I would not have purchased it, I purchased it after reading glowing reviews about it on other sites, and when I came here, my heart sank at what I read, I was very down. I may just wright the purchase off as a loss, and chalk it up to experience :( I really do not want to have the problems I have read about here, slow downs, freezes, crashes, high resource consumption etc, I really don't have the inclination nor the time for that.

Please, if you can answer my questions above, as to uninstalling, and the downloaded file size, it would be greatly appreciated, I need to get some protection installed on my machines, and this will help me decide whether to go ahead with BD, or find another.

Thank You

 Sorry to hear of your concerns! While I can't help you with this, I just thought I'd mention that another forum you can try, in addition to this one, for getting some expert advice is Wilders:

    EDIT

A lot of really expert and highly-experienced posters there who could probably help you with any issues and may even help you enough to stay with BitDefender.

    Good luck.

Hello, thank you for your reply, unfortunately, I have decided to go with ***, I used to use *** all the time, and was very happy with it, but for the last 12 to 18 months or so, I have been using Linux, so I never really felt the need for any anti-virus.

I have now decided to return to Windows, and the new **** does not have on access scanning activated, hence I started looking at paid for versions, and as I said, due to glowing reviews of BD that I read, I decided to give it a shot, but unfortunately, things I have read on the forums have turned me off, should have come here for a look first , I just don't want to take the risk of those problems affecting me. Seeing as AVG, all be it previous, and Free versions, have never given me any grief, I will be purchasing a 3 license pack of ***, and will just right off my BD purchase as a loss, and chalk it up to experience, it was only $62.44 AU, so it's not to bad, I've wasted more than that the past.

Anyway, thanks, and all the best.

    Bye.
