USB Problems: Kingston Data Traveler DTLocker and other Pasword Protected USBs
Since i upgraded to Bitdefender 2019 any of my 7 USB password protected USBs will work, most of them are Kingston Data Traveler. I plug them in, put the password and it wont open my drive. What is happening?

Hello,
Please follow the steps in this article to disable each Bitdefender module, to see what feature is causing the issue:

I disable each one of them specially anti virus, antimalware interface and the threat protection. None of them helped. I unistalled BD TS 2019 using the uninstall tool, after that the problem was gone. I reinstalled BD 2019 TS and I could not open them once again. I tested all my USB drives on a deskstop computer on which i still have BD TS 2018 and they all work there. The problem is TS 2019. Help?0 -
I, too have tried all these and still cannot get access to CRITICAL files! I have been paying for Bitdefender for several years and protect 3 faily PCs but I wish I had not had this update forced on me - 2018 was working fine. 2019 is NOT!
I realise that this may be a small matter to BitDefender but it is highly important to me; I have spent 2 days working on the problem and I absolutely MUST have access to these encrypted files.
I have submitted three tickets about various issues (SafePay also non-functioning) but not received a reply yet.
The way I see it I have 2 options; 'roll back to 2018' or uninstall and buy an alternative (that is properly tested before release). Anyone know if there's a workaround, or how to 'roll back'?0 -
This is still happening and is not cool at all. It is defitnitly bitdefender 2019.

[ Oops - didn't mean to hit 'Enter'! ] Sadly I have to agree. I have tried everything suggested by Support and from the link posted above by Support here on the 7th September. The only way I can use the drives is by uninstalling Bitdefender. It's looking like my many years (full paying) relationship with the company has come to an abrupt end. I have switched to a 30-day trial version of ESET Internet Security for now and it allows the encryted drives to work as they should. If Bitdefender cannot resolve this problem within the next couple of weeks, then I will purchase this other software... shame really. I suppose there will only be a small number of users who use this type of encrypted drive so correcting the bug is not a priority.
I also could not get SafePay to work (all the UK banks I tried were not allowed!) so there are obviously other issues with this release.0 -
And like i meantioned during all these years support is lacking...
Here is an example of one of the drives is not working but other brands with lock does not work0
