Remote Uninstall or Change License Key
Hi - I cant find any information on this so looking for advice please.
I have a 5 machine license and one of those machines is assigned to my ex. They wont let me uninstall Bitdefender Total Security from their machine so i'm currently paying for their security when i dont want to.
Is there a way to remotely uninstall Bitdefender from a machine? I know i can wipe the laptop but that seems a bit drastic, i just want Bitdefender off so it's not using up one of my licenses.
If there's no way to do that, at renewal, could i be provided with a different license key so I could update my assets with the new key but hers would simply state the license has expired which would force her to sort her own security?

Rest assured, you can simply remove the device from your Central account and by doing so the license slot will be cleared.
In order to remove a device from your account, please proceed as follows:
- Access your Central account at https://central.bitdefender.com/
- Click on MyDevices
- Click on the device you wish to remove
- Click on the three dots placed on the top right, on the grey ribbon
- Click on Remove Device
- Check the confirmation box0 -

The Bitdefender product is deactivated and the user is notified that the account's credentials must be re-entered.0 -
