Premium Security, Identity Protection, Multiple users/devices
Hello,
I am confused as to how this is supposed to work. I subscribed to the Premium Security version, including 10 devices. I installed and then sent links to my husband for his computer (it said choose "me", "child", or "someone else", and I of course chose someone else).
So he installed on his computer but it is all in my name/email address? So how is it going to do things, for example, identity protection. How will it protect his on his computer, mine on my computer? I get notifications on my account about his computer which feel like an intrusion on privacy in itself. It is odd and I can't quite wrap my head around how this is supposed to work for a family account. Are there separate user profiles? I saw that you could do parental controls so you must be able to add "child" users... Is there a function for other family members who aren't children?
Sorry for the scramble of questions, I am just trying to figure out how a family is supposed to use all the functions which seem to be rather aimed at one person with ten devices. Thanks!

This is alarming. I purchased the Premium Security version a couple of years back - was able to hook up all of my staff at various points of time, with no issue by sending them a link from my Central Dashboard, and they logged on with their own work emails. Perfect.
This week though, I'm trying to add new staff on, again with links sent from the central dashboard, and those links are defaulting to the trial version of the product! Something has clearly changed in the way that Bitdefender has things setup.
I've been in contact with customer support today, who are advising me to give our my master logon details to those new staff (including the password) so they can convert their trial accounts onto our paid licences.
This isn't the answer I would expect from a company that effects online security!

Lea, that sounds even worse than my own situation! Sharing the master password with my husband is one thing, with employees of a company is quite another! I still haven't been able to find an answer to this and am also shocked that it seems that Bitdefender seems to imply that multiple users (family in my case) of multiple devices (up to ten) should be sharing login information!

I have the same issue with family members having to use my email and Master password. I have now written to the BitDefender support team at least 5 times detailing the issue. It is frustrating that each time a new person replies so no continuity and worse, they often send some sort of auto reply that fails to answer the question I sent. For example, the last reply I received gave the "standard" sorry for the inconvenience... etc and then goes on to list how to restore my subscription details. So frustrating. I tried to cancel the account because of these problems and seek a refund but I I get is again a standard reply that says I cannot have one as I am outside of the 30 day refund policy. BitDefenders product is not fit for purpose so the 30 day refund policy is mute....
