Although I'm not a gambler and haven't got a clue what sort of game this is, I've seen game/AV problems many times. It's not only BD, almost every AV/FW interfers in some way or another with certain games. Take as an example Zone Alarm. It has a 'game mode' in the FW and its only problem is that it doesn't work. Well, it works with some but by far and wide not with all games.
If this isn't an online game then maybe your best option would be to turn off BD completely (right click/exit doesn't do it). To do so you need 'TDask' or something similar. It's a taskmanager just like Windoooz only better. Set correctly it replaces the original and launches on <ctrl+alt+delete>.
DTask gives you options from a normal 'stop task' to 'kill process tree(override)'. Nothing to worry even if some or the other app doesn't start again after you've finished. It doesn't change reg values and after re-boot everything is back to way it was before.0 -
THe "required ressource is missing" problem described in this thread http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?sho...9&hl=bdmcon is not resolved. I still get the error message, even after appliing the 9th May update

Hello mihai_romanian
Try to close down as many processes that are running in task manager. To do that go to start, run,at the run dialog box type taskmgr press enter. Now enter the processnames on this website : http://www.processlibrary.com/ You will see a brief explantion. If it isn't necessary kill the process.

Don't know why this happening please give me some time so that I can talk to the support.
http://kb.bitdefender.com/KB342-en--BitDef...on-May-9th.html <-- This is the update that solves those problems.0 -
No, it hasn't solved my problem when Emule is enabled, nice try however. At least, Softwin is working on the problem.

i'ved opened task manager and i was running 28 processes at once
Manny said System others "mihai" which is the administartor name but i'm not sure which i should stopp some help please!i made some screen shoots of the task manager-process tab!!!0 -
Hi mihai romanian
28 processes isn't that much. But that depends also from the speed of you cpu. (processor e.g intel pentium 4, AMD Athlon,...) and also the speed.
It's easy once you are in task manager you have to enter the name that you find under process name on the website. To give an example you will find explorer.exe Go to the website I mentioned in my previous post. You have to type explorer.exe in the field and press on find. You should read the recommendation. Or otherwise make a screenshot or screenshots and add them to your next post.
Regards
Niels
It could be that it only affects some language version of BitDefender. I use the Dutch version and I don't receive any error messages. I also kept running bittorent clients, emule and other p2p and even itunes.0 -
I still have several crashes per day with die bdmcon "a required ressource is missing" error message. Does anybody else still suffers of this or am I the only one?

Your not the only one,i still get those crashes.

mihai_romanian, Hubert K, have you got the antivirus plus or internet security??0 -
As temporarily solution you can disable BitDefender Firewall and turn on Windows Firewall.

i have BD Antivirus Plus version 10(does it matter? All 10th generation BD av have this problem)
Or had this problem.0 -
I saw it on AV Plus 10 only.

I wouldn't rely on the windows firewall. That firewall protects only against incoming traffic.
Strange I have BitDefender Antivirus Plus v10 and don't receive that message. What build are you using? You can obtain that kind of information when you open BitDefender, general, info(rmation) under product information you will find which build. I am using build 247.

After my initial enthusiasm over the fix, I'm also sorry to report that I have been getting these bdmcon errors again. It seemed the problem was fixed and I hadn't received errors for a few days, but now BD crashes again on a daily basis just like it did before the fix was released.
:-((((0 -
My version of AV 10 Plus is 10.2.8.And the build is 247.

I first thought that it might only happens on older builds. But that doesn't seem the case. I don't have bdmcon error and I use the exact same version that you are using..So killing unnecessary processes in task manager didn't work?

As someone suggested my processes weren't that many so i didn't killed any of them.

You have also to take a look at the amount of memory and the speed of your processor to argue if 24 processes aren't that many. So a powerful processor your computer doesn't have.0 -

I wrote so a powerfull processor doesn't have your pc. But with AMD processors you may not compare the processor speed. I just want to help. If you kill the processes after the next boot they are back so you will not harm your computer.0 -
Thanks for your help Niels but we bouth know what is the cause of my problems and what i can do about it.The reason for this thread is to deny the fact that bitdefender labs solved the crashes for all BD versions of 10th generation(bdmcon crash).

Hi mihai_romanian
I understand. Did you already send them the information that is described here : http://www.bitdefender.com/KB95-en--Asking...assistance.html ?
So they can easily see where the problem is.

Yeah i did that twice actually!

Um sorry for recandleing such an old thread but the problem still persists and i have changed my gfx's car drivers 4 times now(i tryed official and unofficial drivers). But i'ved tested a lilttle Bitdefender 11 beta 4 and i saw something amazing that would solve this problem and that is "Game Mod".This would solve the problem if this feature would be included in BD AV plus 10 through a patch or something.I am asking more the BD representatives if such a thing could be done?
Cheers!
PS:BD 11 will rock ,sorry for the bad attitude that i had before hope i did not offend anyone if i did i'm sorry0 -
Hmm sorry to announce this:bdmcon errors weren't really fixed.I just experienced a crash after i used my nvidia drivers by playing a game.Although the latest updates seem to incorporate a report tool which sends data back to BD labs when this happens.Still the crash goes on.
Don't be sorry for noting this, as it's been driving me nuts! Only tonight did I finally figure out that bitdefender is causing it. I did the update thing, no help. It locks about every 10 minutes which is REALLY serious for me! I run my entire household security system [cameras, alarms, fire system etc.] off this computer, primarily for my semi-invalid wife. I am gone all day and it's essential the computer keeps running 24/7.
I have nothing else on the machine to run smooth, and now this! It locks up and I can clear it with many many keystrokes, but she cannot.
It is possible to find out which feature [antvirus, antispam, firewall, etc] that causes it? I can disable that one, but for now, I have to completely shut down BD.0 -

Okay, it's over! Locks up constantly. I had to disable BD. Worse, it seems this problem goes back many months and the issue has been viewed thousands of times. No fix from BD I am very disappointed with BD when their software is worse than the problem they are supposed to avoid. I am now looking at some other products and will delete BD.0 -

Hi robertpri007,
I understand your frustation. Before switching to another product, take a look at the new BD 2008 series, because this issue is not present in it. Maybe you'll like it.

Please contact the support on: http://www.bitdefender.com/site/KnowledgeBase/getSupport/ and after you find out what the problem is report back here. AFAIK the issue should have been resolved by now including v.10 family product.
Later edit: I found out that this bug has been resolved only in v. 2008 so all that I can say now is to update to our new version for free. All v.2008 family hasn't got any problems with the GUI.
You should talk to the support also and maybe you can come to a solution (that isn't universal) with them for your particular case.
I know that this problem was somehow directly related to nvidia chipset and/or drivers. Please try to update all your nvidia drivers from over here: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us . Some users found this helpful and the problem was fixed by doing so. Again this is not an universal solution to this problem.0 -
Hello!
Check my topic ( http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=2367 ), perhaps you will figure it out. It has nothing to do with the graphics card i presume. Perhaps you forgot to put a file from the big Internet Security Suite v10 into the smaller ones , like Antivirus Plus v10.
I didn't get the "update to version 2008 for free" thing. Perhaps you can explain more please. Does this mean that you cannot find the solution for this problem ? Or that you only had it fixed in the 2008 version
Thank you!

As it was said, this problm mostly occurred on systems which had nVidia graphic cards. But there are exceptions in which it appears on other systems (like in your case).I didn't get the "update to version 2008 for free" thing. Perhaps you can explain more please. Does this mean that you cannot find the solution for this problem ? Or that you only had it fixed in the 2008 version
Umm...I don't work for BitDefender, but, in my opinion, once this new BD 2008 series has been officially released, I don't think BD Team will try to fully solve the problem in BDv10, because it already has been fixed in BDv11 (2008).
Your solution is simple: try to upgrade to BD 2008 if you have problems with BDv10. It's free (you can use the same license and, furthermore, you'll have BitDefender Internet Security, which is more advanced then AV Plus).
What I can tell you is that, on this forum, we cannot help you more then giving you advices.
If you STILL want to use BD v10 AV Pls, then follow Florin's advice and contact Live Assistance. Maybe they will come up with a solution that works for you, based on the information that you provide to them.

Hi Cris,
I understand now. The problem has only been solved in the v11(2008) versions. And now all the company's ressources are fully concentrated on these new versions. So , in order to keep the customers satisfied, they offered us the possibility to upgrade for free to BD IS 2008.
Okay...
I wanted to continue my discussion there...but you answered here (sorry for the topic mess I've created in the forum - please reply there)

The thing is that I don't want the new BD IS 2008. It is to imature as a product for my taste.
I've read there that the french customers can change their BD AV Plus V10 KEY for a BitDefender Internet Security V10 one + 3 months subscription.
My question now: Do the german customers get the same ?
Thank you!

Hi Gladiator,
I have no idea about this.
As you can see, the offer for french users was made by Florent, a person who, from my knowledge, doesn't work for BitDefender. He made that offer on it's own, because he is a partner of BitDefender and he is able to distribute licenses (but his offer is strictly limited to french users).
If you need more information about licenses, the best place to find them is on Live-Assistance, the Cusomer Service section. As I said, I don't work for BitDefender so I can know the policy about replacing licenses in such cases.
About the imature product part... I was having the same opinion as you. I just didn't want to move on from BDv10 to BD2008, especially because many users reported lots of problems with it.
But now I bought a new computer and decided to give BD2008 a try, just to see on my own if it is as bad as some users say. And guess what? I have absolutely NO problems with it. None of the reported bugs appear on my new computer. BD 2008 works a lot better then the previous BDv10.
Of course, there are some things that annoy me very much about the new series, but I'm working on a full list of suggestions and, hopefully, at least a part of them will be taken into consideration sooner or later.
Again, I repeat: there are some features that I don't like very much, but the product is working as it should. I didn't get ANY errors.
My suggestion: just give it a try. It won't hurt and maybe it works fine for you. The only other solution is, as I said before, to follow Florin's advice and contact Live-Support for a solution for the BDv10 problem.

I'll contact Customer Service these days. Thank you for your advices.
I've given the 2008 version a try... don't like it...crashed a few times + the GUI is awful...advanced is like for newborn users... I don't know what standard is for.
I know that this is what the market requests. A total security solution who doesn't need to be thoroughly configured to work properly.
Basically it has the same interface as Norton 360. Both of these solutions are for n00b users now. This is why I like the older version better. Offers more control + it doesn't crash. Okay , I know you will fix crashes and other bugs with the time. This is why I said it's imature. I'm sure it will become a great product in time...but now , at this moment, it isn't for me.
I'll give 2008 version another try when I cannot purchase subscription service for my v10 anymore. By that time it should be matur.e enough
I'm not going to argue about this anymore because you want to sell your product now So your opinion may not be objective. I don't really want to argue
Thank you again for the advices!

Umm...just to make it clear: I do NOT work for BitDefender. This is not MY product and I have absolutely nothing to do with it or with the company that produces it. I'm just a very old home-user of BitDefender and I'm a volunteer on this forum. I bought my own BD license, just like you did and, when BD will fail to protect my PC, I'll change it right away.
Really, I don't try to sell anything.
I just told you my experience. Nobody paid me to do so.
I just told you what choices you have.
