Is Bchat messenger malicious?
BitDefender started to warn me that Bchat messenger has malicious behavior on my Samsung smartphone since few days ago. It didn't warn me at all before that, although I used this messenger since January, 2023. I also use this app on iPhone, and Bitdefender do not warn me at all about Bchat messenger.
It is real that Bitdefender warning on Android smartphone or is it a false one?
Thank you!

You will not get malware information related to any application in iOS as compared to android because iOS operating system is a closed system, meaning no antimalware application is allowed to scan any file or any application on an iOS device as per apple compared to android devices where all these permissions are granted by google.
The only feature of android that you can use in iOS is the vpn and malicious/phishing website blocking.
As per virustotal link if I am not wrong with the exact Bchat application you are talking about, it does not seems malicious.
The warning that you might be getting on your android from bitdefender is not the malware detection created by malware researchers, instead it may be the app anomaly detection that might have triggered the warning.
App anomaly detection in bitdefender for android is able to monitor what all applications on your phone are doing all the time and instantly warn you if there's any suspicious behavior.
If you think a website/ file is not detected by bitdefender as malicious or phishing, kindly use the forum in the below stated link to report them to malware research team.
https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/answer/29358/
If website/ file is indeed malicious or phishing, detection will be added in maximum of 72 hours and if the detection is not available even after 72 hours, consider the website/ file as safe by malware researchers and detection will not be created against them.
