I am running total security on a vista ultimate (64 bit machine). Often the bitdefender icon doesn't appear in the system tray after startup.


should I reinstalled bitdefender or not worry?

    Do you have Service Pack 1 installed on your Vista ?

    Hello bormanb,


    Please try this. This is a windows problem.


    To check if BitDefender is running please check the status off BitDefender services:


    Press the windows button together with r now type services.msc press enter.


    All services that start with BitDefender should have running (started) as status.


    Please open also task manager by pressing ctrl+alt+del(ete) or ctrl+left shift+esc(ape) click once on process name tab so everything will be sorted alphabetically search if you can find the following processes:


    bdagent.exe


    vsserv.exe


    xcommsvr.exe
