Disabling Antispyware.
I guess this is the correct forum for this but can the integrated antispyware module of bitdefender be disabled as I have a stand-alone Antispyware program that I would prefer to use instead of the inbuilt one in bitdefender, but don't want to render bitdefender useless by disabling the antspyware module of bitdefender.

aaa...the antispyware is built into the Antivirus so you can't really disable it without disabling the main antivirus engine. Sorry

Astartes is right. And besides i hope that antispyware isn't Spybot SD. I am not saying its bad, just that it has a really slow scan time and"needs improvement" scanning. It has a good immunize feature though.

Hello nugar,
BitDefender is compatible with other antispyware products.
You can disable the option to scan for spyware in realtime and by on-demand scans. I assuming that you are using one of the BitDefender 2009 products. Open BitDefender switch to advanced view go to the antivirus section, high light the shield tab press on custom level uncheck scan for riskware.
For a scan task you need to edit it to what you want to scan. Now high light the virus scan tab. To edit right click on it and press on open, custom, all what you have to is uncheck what you want BitDefender not to scan don't forget to press on ok to save your changes.
Kind regards,
