Auto Renew Cancelation Impossible To Cancel

This is absurd that I cannot cancel my auto renew. I have submitted this five times to no avail. This is what is sent back to me each time

This notice is to remind you that your subscription coverage from BitDefender, LLC. will automatically renew soon. If you would like to opt-out and cancel your subscription, please go here:

When you go here there is no cancel. If I send a cancel to my auto subscription then all I get is an automated response. I don't want this product nor would I recommend it to anyone else. I incredibly unhappy with your customer service. I hope someone can help me out.

    - update -

I have phoned the customer service department of Digital River ( Bitdefender`s handling company) in the U.S. and they have cancelled my auto-renew.

The phone number to ring is 001.952.253.1234 and select the customer service option ( they are available 24/7).

You need to quote the order number for this to be processed as you talk.

    :):)

  • The thing is everybody thinks that the canceling of your renewal is made through "my account". Well it isn't the case. Let me tell you how you can easily remove/cancel your renewal:

    • First of all when you've ordered our product digital river asked you for a password. You should remember this password as it will enable access to your orders later on.

Now if you want to cancel you subscription go to: http://www.findmyorder.com

You'll notice that you have two options for logging in; the first one is with and order number and a password (that you have set earlier) or if you don't remember the password you can use your email (the one used for ordering our product) and the last numbers on you credit card number (the one used for ordering)

Once inside your account you can easily cancel your renewal subscription.

You don't need to call in for support or write emails to support you just need to follow the terms and faqs that are available on digital river.

    Hope this helps.

    I already did that.

I'm trying to cancel it for 3 days now and all I receive is an automated response saying to contact customer service which leads me back to same place. I can't call a phone number because I live in another country. What is wrong with customer service?

  • The problem is from the system that administrates the renewal system. You should contact them instead. I'm not saying this is normal or you shouldn't be somehow frustrated, but our support can't help until digital river responds to your cancel for renewal.

Hopefully you paid with a credit card - just ask for the charge to be reversed. Refusal to stop auto-renewals is a common form of fraud - not that I'm saying BD or Digital River is deliberately committing fraud...
