Trojan.peed.gen
Hi,
My PC is infected with Trojan.Peed.Gen and I currently have BitDefender Internet Security 2009. The problem is as soon as I let the trojan in it wouldn't allow:
1. my BitDefender to update.
2. me to access the internet to manually update BitDefender or download anything else that might help.
I am currently using a friend's PC to access the internet.
Also, one funny thing is that when I run BitDefender (even though it is now outdated) it shows there are no viruses however whenever I reboot I find various areas of BitDefender have been turned off.
Is there anything I can download to a floppy disk/CD and then upload into my infected computer to get rid of this virus and get access to the internet again?
Thanks!

Dear ddwilkie,
Yes, you can download BitDefender rescue cd. You need to burn this as an bootable image. if you don't have a burning software that is capable to burn bootable images you can use this free burning software. See here for instructions for how to create a bootable image with CDBurnerXp. Print the following instructions and here for how to update BitDefender. Just put the bootable cd-rom and reboot the pc.
Kind regards,
