Gen:rootkit.heur.eu4@u8iv9wei
Bitdefender has detected Gen:Rootkit.Heur.eu4@u8iV9Wei but does not seem to be getting rid of it. Instead, the Virus Alert just keeps reporting the thousands of attempts it is trying to access the system.
Is it possible to get rid of it?
or at the very least turn off the Virus Alert until Bitdefender is able to rid the computer of it?
I did try and research it, but http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=15111 article just takes the user the Virus Encyclopedia Main Page and I can't find anything specific of the 'virus'.
Hope you can help!
Regards,
Neil

Thanks for the link!
I went through the process, but could not find the actual .sys files I need to delete. I went to the location that Bitdefender says their at, but they are missing.
I turned off the real-time protection before using and then even turn off permanently and then re-started in case Bitdefender was stopping access to the files (have turned back on until I can try something else).
I also checked through the various orocesses I carreid out and Folder Options was always set to show hidden files and folders.
I thought the virus may have changed the registry, so I checked registry using http://hubpages.com/hub/How-to-enable-Show...er-virus-attack but everything is set the way it should be.
Does anyone know what I should do next?0 -
