2010 Bitdefender And Windows 7 64 Bit
I recently installed windows 7 pro, 64 bit. I purchased the single user license of bitdefender 2010 and had a nightmare of experiences. My computer kept locking up whenever I tried to update or scan. I couldn't even uninstall it in safe mode because the computer would lock up during the uninstall process. The application was extremely buggy and even after several system restores, I finally wiped the computer and reinstalled windows 7. It's been about a week now and I have had absoltuly no issues with windows 7 and I am afraid to try and re-install bitdefender.
Are there known issues that we should be aware of and will there be a fix to bitdefender or will we have to wait until Windows 7 is released and you get overwhelmed with the same issues I am having?

We cannot tell you for sure what exactly caused the sittuation that you encountered and that is why we have asked you some diagnose reports through the email. Please follow the steps from the next BitDefender article:http://www.bitdefender.com/KB389 and send us back the following files : "sysdump.tar", "bdfileinfo.log" and "bdregnode.reg" .

I am running BD2010 on Win7 x64 with only minor issues.

After a clean install of Windows 7, and a new install of bit defender 2010, everything appears to be working great. I did however, made sure I had all the current windows updates before I installed bit defender this time. Not sure if that may be an issue or not but you can close this ticket as I don't have any issues with the new install.
