[duplicate] Antivirus Not Updating

Hi

My Bitdefender Antivirus 2010 will not update, either

manually or automatically.

I have tried your suggestions in an earlier post of copying

"v_live_s.xml" from;

to: C:\Program Files\BitDefender\BitDefender Update Service

...but that didn't work. I have had this problem several

times and the only way I have found to fix it is to

uninstall Bitdefender 2010 and re-install the software. This

is starting to become annoying and one I don't want to have

to keep doing.

Thanks

Bill:)

  • Hello Letzretire,

Please open BitDefender in Expert Mode, click on the Update module, hit the Update now button and take a screen-shot of the update window. After that, upload it on:http://www.sendspace.com/ then post here the download link .

    Thank you.

    Hi Alex

There were two download links, so I included both

  • Hi Alex.

Just so you don't think Letzretire is alone I have the same problem.

Installed BitDefender TS 10 3 weeks ago on a new build of Windows 2007 Home and I have never managed a successfuly update.

90% of the time I get MD5 errors after an initial download.

The only way I can make it work is to remove the product and re-install because the update always works 100% during the install process.

(so nothing wrong with my link or your servers). Like Letzretire, doing a daily re-install is not eactly user freindly...

When you get a fix, can you email me as well please.

    regards,

    Neil

    Hello Letzretire and NeilJ,

Letzretire: This issue is similar with the one described in this topic: http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=15781 . Please reply on this topic in case you have anything to add. Until then, we have sent you an email that will help you obtain some reports we need to analyze. Please reply with these files attached.

NeilJ :Usually when you run into the 'Invalid md5' at the update moment it means that our update servers are in the middle of the synchronization process. In case the same issue occurs, please send back an email with the reports that we have asked you.

    Thank you.
