Startup Windows Security Alerts Issue

When I first start up my computer, Windows Security Alerts informs me my virus protection and malware protection are both turned off. This goes away after a few minutes, though, but the notification is really annoying and keeps making me think BitDefender isn't working.


I run BitDefender AntiVirus 2010.


Windows Vista.


The only other security, antiviral/antimalware stuff I have is Windows Defender, and that's turned off.


Anyone know anything about it? The security alert doesn't stay, either. It goes away eventually.
