Hello Drewie, Device refers to a computer, tablet or mobile. Open your BD GUI by double clicking the icon in your system tray, click the drop-down from the top bar icon and choose "Account info". From there click "Log in with another account" but add the same details as you have always use i.e. your username and password.…

Just discovered that I can't do a system scan at all, something very wrong. Hope it's something at the Bitdefender end. Not sure what is going on at Bitdefender, I have 20 days left on my subscription, had a look in my account and it says subscription expired, yet on my Bitdefender on the PC and in other sections of My…

I turned on the PC this morning and noticed the Bitdefender Security Widget was dispalying a Red circle with a cross in it saying there was an issue that needed fixing. I checked further and it says the 'On-access scanning is disabled' no matter what I do I can't get the 'On-access scanning to start' there is a window that…

Does anyone know why Bitdefender Anti Virus Plus is so slow updating? Every morning I manually update my virus definitions and it takes forever! No more blue access bar, no nothing. And then when it is done, I have to check to make sure the update was successful. Also, while updating, the hard drive light burns steady and…

Two reasons, one the work that I do does not require a newer version of computer hardware or a newer version of windows OS. My workload is light and so is my family's. Secondly my laptop is over 7 years old and it would not support windows 7 or 8/8.1. Due to this I do not plan on buying a new laptop for another 2 years, if…

Yeah. Terrible load on a PC. It freezes everything, eves MS Word In a month my license will end and I'll get different AV. Bitdefender acts like huge virus itself. Same as above, BD has become a real hog on resources, I have got tired of waiting whilst it checks and updates, I grind to a halt whilst it updates, I now turn…

Same here, I have been turning off the Auto Update function and doing a few manual updates through the day, with it on it becomes very annoying when I am in the middle of doing something and I grind to a halt whilst it performs an update, it really takes over the system and everything becomes so slow the PC becomes…

Same problem here, the last few days continual requests for reboots, it seems to run ok for a month or so then back to the continual requests for reboots, I am over this BD between the reboots and the system grinding to a holt when updating, I think I will put up with it till the subscription runs out and try another brand…

Here we go again. 8 times since last night. I'll wait till it hits 10 and then reinstall BD I guess. Bloody nuisance! Same here, lost count of reboots yesterday, turned PC off last night with a reboot still hanging waiting to be done, fired it up this morning and thought good that has been done only to walk past PC 10…

My BD has been working fine for the past few months. today it started this reboot thing, I am up to about my 4th reboot today and it is early afternoon, who knows how many more reboot requests I will get today. This seems to happen every few months then dies off, is there a new build in the process?

I have the same problem, can be in the middle of doing something important and BD kicks in and uses most of the resources, I have disabled the Vunerability scan which helps a bit, is there anything else that I can safely disable, if I disable the Autoscan is that a bit iffy? Combine this problem with endless updates which…

I think I am up to about my 4th reboot for the day so far, seems a waste rebooting as shortly after the request for another reboot appears. Very annoying!

I am still continually getting 'Reboot required' after almost every update, do I have a problem at my end or is there some sort of major update happening that requires constant rebooting. I may get a few updates that don't ask for a reboot but it seems the majority ask for a reboot. Is this normal or do I have a problem…

I thought this constant rebooting after updates had finally settled down, but I was wrong the past few days have been a pain, every time I check events it says reboot required, I have done 3 reboots today and the day is only half over. Doubt if I will renew my subscription next time around if this continues.

I have the same build number and absolutely incessant demands to reboot for several days. Can you PLEASE fix this issue that appears to be plaguing the entire Bitdefender client base! Having the same issues here, seems every time I check events 'Updates' is asking for a reboot, surely this can be fixed at Bitdefenders end…

Same here 'Update' has been running most of the day, has stopped occassionly but then requires a reboot for the update to take effect. A little while later the update wheel starts spinning again, and more reboots needed. Hope they fix this or let us know what is going on.

Hello The issue with the ignored items is scheduled to be resolved in the next product update that is expected next week, build 16.20.******. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding! Thanks Christian, my issue was more to do with the failed items rather than ignored items, have a look at the screen shot I…

Hello Could you please try to make these settings in the product and let me know if the situation is still reproducing? http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?sho...st&p=153962 Take care. Hi Christian... I did as you suggested and turned off the auto updates function then ran my normal scan. Every thing appears to have…

Hello Drewie, The automatic renewal option is actually set to trigger on 2012-05-18. Since you are already using the most recent version, would be more convenient to send a link for manual renewal? Regards, George Thanks George... If it is going to do the automatic thing I might let it run its course, if it doesn't happen…
