Bitdefender VPN blocks access to ALL websites
When I turn on Bitdefender VPN, I'm basically unable to access the internet. This doesn't happen with other VPN's like Norton's. I don't know if there's something wrong in the settings that allows this to happen or it's something else. I would love a response from someone who might know. Thank you.

If you’re unable to access the internet when your Bitdefender VPN is active, it could be due to the VPN’s kill switch feature, which is designed to block internet traffic if the VPN connection drops to protect your data. Ensure your internet works without the VPN, and try reconnecting to the VPN. Verify your VPN settings, particularly the kill switch settings, and adjust them if necessary. Keep your Bitdefender software updated, and check if your firewall or antivirus is blocking the VPN. If these steps don’t help, contacting Bitdefender support is recommended.

Please itemize what and which those settings are and their values please. I need values to verify.0 -
Hello @MAYS24,
What values do you need, exactly? VPN settings have a toggle to switch them ON/OFF. So, if you are encountering network issues, the first place to look would be the kill-switch. This stops all Internet traffic if the VPN connection is briefly lost. If you are using Bitdefender VPN on Windows, check this article for more information on its features and settings:
Do you encounter network issues with all the websites that you are trying to access, or just with particular ones?
And does the connection resume if you disable the VPN? Keep in mind that network connectivity issues may also happend due to the firewall, so this is also something worth checking. If you can provide more details on the issue you are encountering, we can try to help.Regards

It isn't the kill switch.

I found the kill switch under Privacy but it was not my solution. Some people suggest a term such as killswitch but do not elaborate and tell you it is a simple on and off switch' otherwise, for any unfamiliar technical term I am looking for values. Then again, I probably should have figured the term was a switch because it was part of the term. haha
I found the vpn worked on other browsers, so I found my solution in Edge Settings. This was a couple weeks ago and now I cannot remember which setting was the solution. If it comes back to me, I will post.
My next problem was that many sites once they see you are coming from another ip address because you are using vpn will give you maximum aggravation. I would hope they would just use my login and password but they insist I am in Chicago whereas I am local in Cincinnati. The solution here is split tunneling but it is a hassle to add them constantly and defeats the anonymity of VPN for those sites you bypass the vpn with. Good grief, as Charlie brown would say.0
