Why is it so difficult to activate a subscription

First of all, this site is very difficult to get anything done. You make it so hard to reinstall the software on a new computer. Support is non-existant. Can you not make this easier. I am never using this service again due to your problematic install. You take money without asking and you make it close to impossible for anyone to cancel the auto-renewal. There is no telling how many people you are swindling out of money by purposely making it difficult to navigate this site. Also, your product didn't even work in the first place. I am only having to reinstall because my computer was riddled with adware that your product failed to protect me from. My daughter used the computer for about a week and did irrecparable damage. That was the whole point for me purchasing your overpriced software.

    I'm sorry to hear you have encountered difficulties with your Bitdefender installation. Can you elaborate to which site are you referring to, is it Central or the 2Checkout account? I will do my best to help you, so i'll address each of your concerns separately, as follows:

    1. You take money without asking and you make it close to impossible for anyone to cancel the auto-renewal.

    The Bitdefender security solutions come with an automatic renewal feature that allows you to conveniently retain your protection when your Bitdefender subscription expires, without having to go through all the motions of manually renewing your cyber-security solution. Information regarding the subscription enrollment is also displayed in the shopping cart prior to the purchase:

    You will receive email notifications before the actual renewal takes place. 

    These e-mails will provide you with all the details about automatic renewal, including a link for easy cancellation of the service. If the auto renewal option remains active, your Bitdefender subscription will be automatically extended and this will keep your defenses activated without interruption for all devices covered by your current subscription.

    Please keep in mind that, whether you want to activate the renewal option or disable it, you can do it anytime. 

    You can cancel the automatic charges for your subscription by logging in to your Bitdefender Account and disable automatic renewal, or by contacting Customer Support. Below you will find the detailed steps on how to configure the automatic renewal preferences:

    If it's necessary to reinstall the product, I would recommend to use the uninstall tool. This will ensure you are performing a clean reinstallation of the product and may also help mitigate any errors.     In the event you are encountering any errors during the reinstallation, kindly share them with us, along with any other information that would help us identify the issue.

    Bitdefender cannot take any direct measures related to adware that you agreed on or something you enabled, like site setting, site notification, redirects in your browser or installed toolbars, extensions or applications. Adware is not an infection per se, and notifications coming from adware do not have anything malicious attached to them, but when you click on them, they will redirect to malicious sites that try to collect your data or install abusive or dangerous software. This is where Bitdefender's defenses enter the scene.

    I do recommend Ublock Origin to block ads, I also recommend using our Anti-tracker extension, to stop tracking cookies. You can find out more about adware here:

    3. Support is non-existant.
