Scanner Won't Update Virus

I am using I.E.7 XP sp3 and the scanner will not update virus signatures.


I followed all instruction located both here and on the web site, and it still doesn't update.


Is there any reason for this?


I have seen other people are experiencing the same thing.....

    vista sp1....getting a Update Service Unavilable message and my fix issues "list" is saying an update has not been checked for....


    yet cant use the update feature...this all came after the LAST update....anyone?
