Hi. when connected to bitdefender vpn if i click on another virtual location it takes few secs to change the location, ll my real or current ip at that time ll be exposed until the new location is connected ?

Like I said, the VPN will take a few seconds to reconnect when you are switching between servers and during this interval, your real IP will be displayed. I can't think of a VPN that does the switch under different conditions.
Now, if you are not doing any sensitive browsing at that point and if your browser is closed, I see no problem here.
You can close all running apps and sessions, change the server and resume work.

The Kill-Switch feature stops all internet traffic IF the VPN connection is briefly lost, preventing leaks.

but the question is still there , does bit defender vpn keep hiding the real ip meanwhile it's changing the virtual location ( if already connected )

@Rock.87 I'll rephrase. Whenever you are switching between servers or before you connect to another server, the VPN is not actually connected. The VPN is ON when the message "Connected" is finally displayed in the UI.

So:

VPN conneting… = real IP visible until the connection to the server is established;
VPN switching between servers = real IP visible until the server is successfully changed;
VPN connected = encrypted connection while this status is displayed

But if you are not making any traffic in those few seconds while the VPN connects, I see no reason of concern here. 🙂

Do u mean that if i am connected to the twitter in my browser , and i switch the virtual location & do not make any kind of online activity , i ll be safe ? but why when there is no secure connection as you said :

if this is so then there should a highlight in the I.P. section that kill switch has covered you , is not it work like that ? because the vpn takes few secs & if u refresh the twitter page it wont work until the connection is secured.
