Error code: Oxc000007b (vlflt.sys)
Good Day
There is an error which leads my windows 10 pc to get bluescreen and cannot access or repair the window. As advised in google, i have renamed the vlflt.sys to vlflt.sys.bak, and it worked until i reinstalled the bitdefender software which i have uninstalled. The issue persist again.
this points to the bitdefender total security which i have, do you have a solution for this issue?
Recovery
Your PC/Device needs to be repaired
The operating system couldn't be loaded because a critical system driver is missing or contains errors.
File: \WINDOWS\system32\DRIVERS vlflt.sys
Error code: 0x000007b
You'll need to use recovery tools. If you don't have any installation media (like a disc or USB device), contact your PC administrator or PC/Device manufacturer.

Instead of contacting Bitdefender support, you searched on Google and tried the hit-and-trial method, which ended up causing a BSOD.
Check if the steps below help.
1) Download and run the Bitdefender product uninstaller (as administrator) from this link: https://www.bitdefender.com/files/KnowledgeBase/file/Bitdefender_2023_Uninstall_Tool.exe
2) Restart your PC in safe mode. You can follow this guide:
C:\Program Files (delete any folder with the name bitdefender)
C:\Program Files (x86) (delete any folder with the name bitdefender)
C:\ProgramData (delete any folder with the name bitdefender)
C:\Users{your PC name}\AppData\Local (delete any folder with the name bitdefender)
4) Open the Run command and execute the following commands one by one:
temp - delete all the files in the folder
%temp% - delete all the files in the folder
prefetch - delete all the files in the folder
5) Open the registry editor through the 'Run' command (Windows icon + R) and then type 'regedit.' Once the registry editor opens, click on 'Edit' -> 'Find,' and make sure to checkmark 'Match whole strings only.' Type 'bitdefender' in the search box and click 'Find Next.' If any file or folder with the name 'bitdefender' is found, delete it. Continue searching the registry and deleting until the search reports no registry keys found.
6) Open Command Prompt (cmd) and run it as an administrator. Type sfc /scannow and let it scan for corrupted files and repair them. If the repair is not possible, use the DISM command, which will only work in General Mode.
7) Restart your PC in normal mode by deselecting the option you selected while running the system in Safe Mode, then click 'Apply.'
8) If sfc /scannow fails, open Command Prompt (cmd) and run it as an administrator. Type DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth and let it run. This command will search for corrupted files and replace them with new ones by downloading them from Microsoft Update. Note that you need an internet connection to run the DISM command.
When the DISM command completes, rerun the sfc /scannow command in the same Command Prompt window, or you can run it again by opening Command Prompt as an administrator.
9) Remove devices from your online Bitdefender Central:
10) Install the Bitdefender product:
If the issue persists, you will need to contact Bitdefender support since they may require logs and they will help you to create one.
