Cant Un-install Bd

my Bitdefender keeps shutting off and shows a grey icon in the lower portion of the screen, I tried to uninstall BD to see if reinstalling it would help but after each of my attemps i recieve the message:
Service 'BitDefender Virus Shield' [VSSERV] could not be deleted. Verify you have sufficient priviliges to remove the services.
im the only user on the computer which im assuming would give me all the rights to do what ever I want (including uninstalling BD) what should I do?
