Bd Av 2009 Slow Internal Network

I recently purchased BitDefender AntiVirus 2009. Installed on my laptop and my HTPC. Network traffic in my home network is since very much slower then before. Moving a file from my laptop to my HTPC works with a maximum of about 1 to 2 MB/S instead of the 6 to 7 MB/s before. Looking at the file activity monitor on both my laptop and my HTPC does not show that much activity. Internet traffic doesn't seem to be affected.

Any ideas?

Hi there,

Please try this:

1. Open BitDefender in the Advanced View.

2. Go to Antivirus->Custom Level.

3. Check Do Not Scan Network Shares.

4. Go to Firewall->Network.

5. Set it to Trusted Local.

6. Add the IP of the other PC to the Zones tab and allow it.

7. Check if the issue still occurs.
