Windows Other Updates
On the Vulnerability menu, BitDefender calls this line "Other Microsoft Updates" as opposed to Critical Microsoft Updates. When the wizard lists the updates, the section is titled "Windows Optional Updates". This is the correct title. The problem is that we have no option as to whether or not to install the optional updates.
Lately Microsoft has been releasing Windows Live components. First it was the Windows LIve Add-in, today it was more Windows live. When it got to the list of what was to be installed, I stopped. I do not want nor need any of those items.
The fact that we have no control over which of these updates we install is a major problem with BitDefender Total Security 2009. I have about 120 days left on my current subscription. I am looking for another program.
