Cannot Update Bd 2008

Hello, I posted a request for help about 10 days ago and I have not received a response.

I am still having problems: Bit Defender 2008 will not update!

Further to this my internet browser gets hijacked when I try to use internet search engines (such as google, Yahoo, etc...) I get redirected to spam wedsites.

Lastly if I leave the infected computer on I receive a huge amount of spam in my email and my hard drive seems to be working extra hard, even when I am not using the computer.

I have tried to scan my computer in both safemode and in regular mode but it keeps coming up clean although the problems are still present.

I am using XP Pro and BitDefender Antivirus 2008

Hi

clean all temp files using CCleaner.

Do the 30 second scan from the BD website.

Scan using an online AV programme.

See if you could find any virus.

You may try to reinstall BD. The new version of BD, released early this month, is good. Try this out.
