Bd2009 Antivirus Crashes On Scans Windows Xp

Hi, I recently purchased BitDefender 2009 AntiVirus. I installed it on my Windows XP Media Center computer after uninstalling AVG. It seemed to work fine. Now I cannot get it to scan at all. Whenever I attempt to launch any scan, BD stops responding. I can not launch a manual scan via the start menu either. Help? In the ScreenShot it basically froze with my cursor as an hourglass while my cursor was in the BD window.
