"scan Failed To Execute"

I just installed Bitdefender IS09. But when i try to make the first scan on the pc, it pop up and says "Scan failed to execute". If I go to the virusscan tasks and chose to run one of them, the same pop up appears.

What to do? <_<

I just reinstalled bitdefender, and I still have the same problem.

My recently purchased BitDefender Security worked fine until two days ago. Now it will not scan and attempts to manually scan return the message "Scan failed to execute" Same message if I use the manual scan from Start/All Programs/ Operating system Win XP s3. Please advise
