I'm having an issue between BitDefender IS10 Build 247 and Nero BackItUp 2.0.0.0.
I basically have to disable real-time virus protection to allow the backup to run.
I've specifically allowed backitup.exe and nbservice.exe access in the firewall settings (not that it should make a difference, as the backup files are local and they're going to DVD).
I've also disabled 'Scan inside archives', 'Scan packed files' and 'Scan http traffic', and I've set 'Scan access files' to 'Scan program files only'.
When the backup tries to run, BDSS.exe goes to ~70% CPU utilization, and in the AV stats you can see it scanning all the files Nero is trying to backup, but Nero is unresponsive. As soon as I disable realtime protection, Nero kicks into life instantly and starts backing up.
The backup is set to run at 2300, and normally takes ~3 hours. At 1000 this morning, it was still trying to run. We installed Bit Defender 10 yesterday.
There is a newer version of Nero BackItUp available, which I'm downloading now, but it seems deeper than that.
Thoughts?
